Do you want to put your prayer life into concrete action?

Many people are suffering from poverty or human trafficking in our community and they need our prayers.

The Salt & Light Ministry reaches out to our fellow neighbors who live in the surrounding area of our Cathedral. Our volunteers meet on the first and third Saturday of each month after the 8am mass, from 9am-noon.

We stand at the intersection of 27th Ave./Bethany Home Road and pray for those who are walking and driving by the area.

We are in need of the following: those willing to hold stating, “Can we pray for you”; handing out water and crackers; praying for those who request prayer. We appreciate any time you are available to volunteer.

Prayer Saturdays
Attend Mass on Saturday at 8 am. Meet in the SSJ Church Courtyard after Mass for quick ministry updates. We will then proceed to the neighborhood to pray for victims of human trafficking.

Ministry Time: 9 AM - 12 PM

Locations: 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road and Glendale Avenue

Dates: The 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, beginning in October.
